Palmer Depot
The Town of Palmer historically is sited at the crossroads of seven New England railroads, hence the nickname “Depot Village” for the town. And hence, the name “Depot Plaza” for our shopping center adjacent to Downtown Palmer at 1581 North Main Street, about a mile from Exit 8 of the Massachusetts Turnpike (Route 90).
Anchored by a 16,800 square foot Rocky’s Ace Hardware store and garden center, Depot Plaza contains a total of 46,100 square feet. Other tenants include the GoodWill, Verizon Wireless, H&R Block, Apollo Pizza Restaurant, Bank of America and more.
Architectural flourishes of the recently renovated shopping center accentuate the railroad theme that is very much a part of the history of Palmer. The center itself serves a vital role in the local consumer economy.
